Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how AMPMPicks Inc., doing business as Captain Reputation (“Captain Reputation”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website or engage our services. By using the website or contacting us, you agree to the practices described in this Policy and to our Terms of Service.
1. Information We Collect
- Contact information you provide when you reach out — such as your name, phone number, business name, and the messaging service you use to contact us.
- Business and case information you choose to share — such as links to your business listing, screenshots of reviews, review content, reviewer details visible on public platforms, invoices, records, and other documentation you provide in support of a case.
- Communications — the content of messages, calls, and correspondence between you and us, including via WhatsApp, SMS, and telephone.
- Technical information collected automatically when you visit the website — such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and referring pages, where collected by our hosting provider or any analytics tools we may use. Our website may set or read a limited number of cookies or similar technologies for functionality and analytics.
2. How We Use Information
- To respond to your inquiries and provide, evaluate, and improve the services;
- To assess review content against platform policies and prepare and file reports, escalations, and appeals on your behalf;
- To communicate with you about your case, including by phone, SMS, and WhatsApp;
- To administer, protect, and improve our website and operations;
- To establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, enforce our Terms of Service, and comply with legal obligations.
3. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:
- With platforms such as Google, to the extent necessary to submit reports, escalations, and appeals on your behalf — this may include case documentation you have provided;
- With service providers who support our operations (for example hosting, communications, and payment providers), under obligations to protect the information;
- For legal reasons, where we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Captain Reputation, our clients, or others;
- In a business transfer, if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Third-Party Services
Our primary contact channel is WhatsApp, a service operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. Messages you send us via WhatsApp are also processed by Meta under its own terms and privacy policy, which we do not control. Likewise, links on our website lead to third-party sites (such as Google) whose privacy practices are their own. Profile photographs displayed in the testimonial section of our website are illustrative placeholder images.
5. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the services, maintain business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized. Case documentation may be retained after a case closes to evidence the work performed.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to a business of our size to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot and do not guarantee absolute security. You provide information at your own risk.
7. Your Choices and Rights
- You may contact us at any time to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, and we will honor such requests to the extent required by applicable law.
- You may opt out of non-essential communications by telling us so in any message.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws (for example, the California Consumer Privacy Act for California residents). We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
8. Children
The website and services are directed to businesses and are not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International Visitors
We operate from the United States and information is processed in the United States. If you access the website from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy at any time by posting a revised version on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
